Isaiah 47:1, 12, 13
Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne,
O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries,
wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit,
if so be thou mayest prevail.
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels: let now the astrologers, the star-gazers,
the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from the things that shall come upon thee.

Jeremiah 50:1, 2, 38
The word that Jehovah spake concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans,
by Jeremiah the prophet.
2 Declare ye among the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish,
and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed;
her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.
38 A drought is upon her waters, and they shall be dried up;
for it is a land of graven images, and they are mad over idols.

Genesis 10:8, 9
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
9 He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah: wherefore it is said,
Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before Jehovah.”

Genesis 11:2-4, 8
And it came to pass, as they journeyed east,
that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Come, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly.
And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.
4 And they said, Come, let us build us a city, and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven,
and let us make us a name; lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
8 So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth:
and they left off building the city.

Isaiah 14:4, 13, 14
that thou shalt take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say,
How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
13 And thou saidst in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit upon the mount of congregation,
in the uttermost parts of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

Daniel 5:2-4, 23
Belshazzar, while he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels
which Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem;
that the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, might drink therefrom.
3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God
which was at Jerusalem; and the king and his lords, his wives and his concubines, drank from them.
4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.
23 but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven;
and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy lords,
thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine from them;
and thou hast praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass,
iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know;
and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified.

Revelation 18:23
and the light of a lamp shall shine no more at all in thee;
and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:
for thy merchants were the princes of the earth; for with thy sorcery were all the nations deceived.
